Being a pedestrian in Indonesia is tough. One time, I was just Cycling with my bike on the sidewalk and suddenly a motorcycle came up right in front of me—on the sidewalk! Things like this happen way too often here.

In many other countries, sidewalks are safe and respected. For example, in Japan or the Netherlands, pedestrians are given clear space and drivers rarely break those rules.

I hope one day we can improve and make walking safe for everyone.
