Nasi Kuning, SLC Confusion, and Rainy Walk Home

26/09/2025

Good morning, good evening, and good night. Today is September 26th, 2025, and like usual I went to school in the morning. On the way, I bought two packs of nasi kuning for my lunch. Why two? Well, I really love heavy meals. For me, sometimes heavy food feels like just a snack, so my dad bought me two, one for each break time. And honestly, nasi kuning is so delicious! It’s also way cheaper than the snacks sold at school. It might not look fancy or elite, but the taste is what really matters.

Fun fact about Fridays and me: every Friday around midday, I always feel this weird emptiness. It’s like a sudden wave of loneliness out of nowhere. But then, once Friday prayers are over and the afternoon rolls in, I usually find myself laughing and having fun again. It’s kinda funny how the mood just shifts like that.

Today, Mr. Azka asked me why I always walk home. I told him it’s because my house is close. But he looked confused because, according to him, it’s actually far. Honestly, I just like walking. Well, the real reason is to save money instead of ordering an ojek, hehe. The distance from my school to my house is about 1.8 km, and to me that’s close. But my friends say it’s far. Daym, maybe they’re just too used to riding motorcycles everywhere.

At my high school, we have this activity called SLC, which stands for Student Leadership Compound. Basically, we’re asked to make a PowerPoint and present our future plans, including what major we want to take in college. We also had to fill out a Google Form with questions about it. There was one question that really got me thinking. My mom wants me to go into medicine, while I’m actually interested in computer science or graphic design. But recently, I’ve started to consider medicine too, though deep down I still want graphic design, but whatever. Then it hit me, why not psychology? I asked my parents about it before, but they didn’t agree. However, my mom told me psychiatry is okay, since it’s still part of medicine. That idea really opened me up, and I ended up writing psychiatry as my future major. Out of all the medical specialties like neurology, dermatology, or internal medicine, psychiatry feels like the best fit. I enjoy observing people’s behavior and figuring out their strengths and weaknesses. So yeah, I’ll give it my best shot. Wish me luck getting into a public university! And by the way, it was so funny during the last lesson when the teacher was explaining how to make the SLC PowerPoint. Everyone brought their laptops, but instead of paying attention, a lot of them were secretly playing games.

History class afterward was so chaotic, especially when we played a guessing game in groups. The class literally turned into a zoo.

Then, I was asked to join a beta test for an app made by one of the seniors for a competition. I joined just for fun and to help out.

After all that, I walked home like usual. It was drizzling, I was tired, and when I finally got home I accidentally knocked on the door too hard and got scolded for it. And that’s pretty much it. Thanks for reading, bye bye!
