Journal 35

do you guys know the writer of this page is having a hard time that which topic is written first. so instead he create a new topic about writing the first paragraphs, pretty boring right? did you guys know paragraphs did not originally exist as separate blocks of text. Ancient Greek and Roman writers wrote in scriptura continua, a continuous run of letters without spaces, punctuation, or paragraph breaks. To help readers navigate the wall of text, they eventually began placing a small horizontal line called a ¶ pilcrow or a paragraphos in the left margin next to the line where a new thought started. another fun fact that i copy this information from a random article.

Anyway lets get to the next topic, this week i watched three movies. Alien (1979), Paprika (2006), and Rent (Filmed Live on Broadway 2008). but in this journal im just gonna talk about Paprika and Musical Rent. from this two movies i learn two things, about the Danger of Misused Technology and how important to spend your time with the loves one.

Satoshi Kon's Paprika (2006) teaches us that true psychological wholeness requires embracing our hidden traumas and integrated identities rather than repressing them. It serves as a powerful warning about the dangers of unchecked technology and mass media eroding our mental autonomy and blurring the lines between reality and illusion. Ultimately, the film champions creative expression and dreams as vital, sacred tools for healing the human psyche.

Now about the Musical Rent. the first time i heard the musical Rent is from the Netflix adaptation of Tick, Tick... Boom! by Jonathan Larson. then i start to hear a lot of his song including Seasons of Love. and for the last 2 weeks i was trying to find the bootleg of the broadway recording because i dont want to watch the 2005 movie first, im trying so hard to find a good quality of Rent Slime tutorials but end up in vain. then i found out that we can doawnload good qualities movie and documentaries from uTorrents pirate movies so i immediatly doawnload the Rent Filmed Live on Broadway (2008), i feel like an internet treasure hunter.

I understand that the writer Jonathan Larson is trying to tell that we need to Live in the Present Moment. The show’s core mantra, "No day but today," serves as a fierce rejection of anxiety over the future or regret over the past. It teaches us to act with urgency, love deeply right now, and embrace life's fleeting nature and also community, unconditional love, and mutual aid are our greatest lifelines when facing systemic failure, poverty, and disease.

When one of my favorite character in Rent, which is Angel Dumott Schunard, the drag queen, died, i start to thinking about my friends and family. we don't know when they're gonna die or maybe when we're gonna die. i start to miss all of my friends a lot. and also one more thing i learn from this musical, the character Mark Cohen is being like the documenter of their lifes, and i start to reflect it as myself. since from the junior highschool i always be the documenter of my friends. and till this second im still holding cameras a lot in school which i start to think this is one of the best thing i can do in school because i can document real life and my friends that how do we live in the moment. but it is also quite pathetic that im feeling kinda lonely, i mean everyone with their bestfriend, boyfriend, or girlfriend, while im just a regular stupid guy holding cameras and recording them, well in good side i can be friend with anyone.

Anyway that's all from me thx for reading my boring journal.
